Destination Aviation is a five-day summer camp utilizing the power and magic of flight to inspire students from across the region toward Aviation and STEM careers. Mentors, role models, youth clubs and academic institutions provide career immersion tours and hands-on learning activities throughout the week with ideas to help participants understand ‘what's next’ and how they can continue their interest and education in these highly rewarding career fields. In addition, they learn about scholarship, internship, and mentorship opportunities. This in-depth career exploration camp is an excellent example of a fun educational student program that will play a key role in developing a younger, more diverse and capable workforce.  Special thanks to Sacramento County, City of Rancho Cordova, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Modern Aviation for joining the California Capital Airshow to invest in a program that will launch dreams into careers.
