Local students of all ages enjoyed an afternoon inside the gates of Mather Airport surrounded by professional pilots, aerospace leaders, STEM experts, and all kinds of aircraft. The event began with an interactive panel discussion featuring newsworthy leaders in aviation and STEM, followed by a live ‘Mad Science’ show and time to explore dozens of exhibits - including drone demonstrations, planes, helicopters, and vehicles on display, and hands-on STEM activities. Kids learned about unique careers, the path to take to land in one, and what these highly rewarding jobs will look like in the future. The event is presented in partnership with Women in Aviation International, in celebration of International Girls In Aviation Day. To watch the video click here
